I thought it was time to throw myself a Pity Party. Anyone wishing to to pull up a chair and join in? I think that everyone deserves a pity party once in a while. Here goes...I was denied surgery. I want to have Lap Band but my insurance does not consider me to be heavy enough. Don't you think it is strange that someone that has never met me can make a decision that will change my life? I get that there has to be a place to start. So, it was decided that a BMI > 35 and a comorbid condition may qualify for surgery or a BMI of > 40. I know what some of you are thinking...poor baby..her BMI isn't 35...I wish I had her problems.... I get that as well. However, imagine what it is like to be 2 pounds away from having a 35 BMI, NOT able to lose weight, NOT heavy enough to fix it this way but WAY too heavy to play with your kids, way to heavy to be happy, way to heavy to feel good, way to heavy to feel attractive, way to heavy to be confident, way to heavy (period). I'm getting heavier every day. Sure, I can pack on the pounds and get to a 35 BMI. In fact, I am sure that I will "make it" sooner or later. Thats just more that I have to lose later on. Ok..that is my Pity Party!! Hope you have fun...have a drink and join in on the fun.

hey I'LL COME TO YOU PARTY. YOU DESERVE THIS. I HAVE SEEN HOW MUCH YOU HAVE SUFFERED. 35 MAY NOT BE THAT MUCH TO SOME BUT I KNOW FOR YOU IT IS A LOT. I HAVE WATCHED YOU BECOME MORE UNHAPPY YEAR AFTER YEAR. I HAVE WATCHED YOU STRUGGLE. I HAVE JOINED WEIGH****CHERS WITH YOU. AND I KNOW YOU CAN'T LOSE. YOU ARE RIGHT, WITH OUR GENETICS ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME AND YOU WILL BE THE SAME AS THE REST OF US WITH A BMI OF 40 AND OVER. I PRAY THAT YOU WILL BE GIVEN THIS TOOL SO YOU CAN PLAY WITH YOUR KIDS. (SORRY MY CAP LOCK WAS ON, I'M NOT YELLING). LOVE YOU JANE

Well, Chris just came home with Cherry Cordial. Isn't he sweet? Sheesh!! I'll be ready for surgery approval in no time. Of course, he is just trying to help me out. I told him that its ok NOW but when I have surgery, it isn't allowed in the house again. Know what he said? He said, "so I don't get to eat cherry cordial anymore just because you can't?" Can you believe it? He just doesn't think!! Remember though...I'm a b*$ch. Chris

I think it's a man thing....They don't think sometimes...But for whatever reason we still love em...lol...I am sure Chris will be more supportive after your surgery...If not there is a lot of people who will gang up on him...He won't have a chance...LOL... ...and thanks for the post on my surgery page...but once more today...my bladder is still attached to my tear ducts...and they started leaking again...I wonder if Dr. Tom can fix that problem during surgery... Love You Amy
