HI Amanda, It is hard, but I know you can do it! Your protein drinks will help alot. After a day or two it will not be so bad. On your liquid diet can you have sf pudding and popsicles? Those were my lifesavers! Good luck and I know you can do it!

I didnt have to do a liquid diet before my surgery... but of course afterwards I did. I actually found comfort in the liquids. SF popsicles, pudding, yogurt and jello were awesome but for me the big treat was soups. 2 weeks isnt that bad.... it could be worse, I know someone that had to be on liquids for 6 weeks pre op. It is so worth it in the long run... You can do it!!!

You can soooooo do this!!!! I'm doing the low-carb diet and I can relate to you somewhat, as I'm trying to cut my intake down big time! Hang in there and remember that this time will pass soon and you'll be on the loser side!! Take care--- Dee

I was on a liquid diet for 2 days b4 surgery & afterwards. Yes it's hard to do but you got to do it. I drunk a lot of protein shakes & ate sugar free popsicles & pudding. Can you have creme soups? They filled me up & they were warm, which is something I missed. I would drin****il I was busting!! Also get your mind off of the diet. Go to a consignment store & get a smaller size outfit & hang it on your fridge. Whenever you open the door you'll have to move your "goal outfit" & this will help you to stay focused. Hope this helps. It's all worth it when you become a "loser"!!

Amanda, I think the only way to get through it is to sleep more and then you won't think about food as much... ha ha Just remember though, that there are lots of liquids out there. Is it a CLEAR liquid diet, or simply a liquid diet? The Crystal Light drinks are very good!! The strawberry and the grape are best. They also have peach tea, lemonade and some others. There are liquid soups, popscicles, jellos, coffee, juices, and good old water. There isn't a limit of how much liquid you can drink, so drink up!! Then take a good long nap. ha ha Or keep your mind busy! Read a good book--one you can't put down, and you won't want to get up to eat!! ha ha Find something that interests you, or talk on the phone, browse the internet, and remember. When we are hungry -- it will pass in 20 minutes. So, if you can drink something when you feel hungry, it will pass in no time. I know it is hard, but you can do this!! Do it one day at a time. And, have a variety of things, so you don't get tired of having the same old thing. Good luck to you! Sharee
