I screwed up.

I thought the seminar was on Tuesday..... It was yesterday. I am so upset. I was able to get into another seminar next Tuesday. It's with John Olsofka, M.D. I've heard good things about him too. My pcp is the one who suggested Dr. Geller. I will call his office and see if there's a seminar soon to get into. I'm so bummed. Kathy

I was all excited about going to the lapband seminar today. Well.... it was yesterday. Talk about upset. My husband was with me and I tried to be strong but I kept crying. We came home and I cried alot.... then I emailed Dr. Geller and told him what I had done. He told me to call in and reschedule for next Tuesday. So I did and I got the last 2 seats. Pray I don' have another blonde moment and get it messed up again. I only have 3 doctors appointments this week and the kids started school yesterday plus meetings with Band Boosters. Life is crazy right now. I've also had a lingering ear infection so I've been running a low grade fever the last couple days and I feel like poop. I have Multiple Sclerosis and fever always makes me extra achey and tired. Well, I guess next week my journey will start. Big hugs. Kathy

I've made these type of mistakes before and it sucks bigtime! Try not to beat yourself up about it and call the office for another appointment. HI Dee, I did call and I get to go to the seminar Dr. Geller is having on Tuesday the 22nd. After getting over the whole shock and disappointment of screwing up on the previous appointment date I am feeling much better. I don't know why it was meant for me to screw up. Something positive that did come from it though was seeing how attentive and accessible Dr. Geller is. He saw my post on here and I had emailed him to let him know what I did. He immediatley wrote me and answered many questions and let me know the next seminar date. So that has made my husband and I feel more comfortable that I've made the right decission on my doctor. Not to mention I've certainly made an impression on Dr. Geller..... he will forever know me as the panicked woman who showed up a day Late. Thanks Dee. Kathy

Oh Katherine, that is great that Dr. Geller and his office are on the ball! Kudos to him for calling you after reading your posts about missing the appointment. (It does show he is on top of things)I'm happy for you that you were able to get another date--let us know how it goes; ok? I am going to the St. Joes East surgery Center and the first seminar there was very informative. We got to meet the surgeons and they were there until the last person left answering questions indvidually after answering them to the group. I also like how they're very thorough in making sure the surgery will be a success and stressing not just their role in doing so, but our role to making it work too. I like doing things well informed and these seminars are good for that, I believe. Talk to you soon-- Dee
