Hi All, I am Michael D from Lexington and have started the WLS program at ST. Joe's East. I believe I have finished all my test except my visit to the cardiologist (8/16). Hopefully that will go well and I can get submitted to my insurance by the end of this next week for approval. Seems like this is a great place to study up on and learn about WLS as well as meet people and have great support for one another. Looking forward to getting to know you all and helping one another out. Thanks Michael D

Welcome, Michael. You will love everything about the St. Joe program. Others can say what they want but it is the best. I had Dr. Steiner but have seen all the docs at one time or another. i had researched on here for a few months before my surgery and dr. Steiner said I was the best prepared patient he had ever had so do allyour homework and there will be no surprises.

Hi Michael, St Joe East is a good hospital, Dr Nighberts team is a good one. Dr Nighbert did my surgery, Dr Stiner fixed the stricture. You can get lots of questions answered here by just reading the board. I thought I knew all about WLS, then after surgery for the first week or two I felt like I knew nothing about it, I felt like I was out in left field or something. What you have read about the surgery does come back to you and you feel "normal" again . Hope all goes good for you.
