Questions about drs and insurance?

Hello, I am writing this post it to ask for advice...I would like the lap band surgery and was wondering if any one knew anything about the drs at Fort Cambell..I have been searching for a surgeon in Ky or Tenn but I also need a dr that takes Medicare and a supple. ins. I have gone on line and found a few drs but I would like to see if anyone knows of Dr Steely or Dr Gallapone or Dr Miller or Dr Beekley or Dr Sanborn or another dr that does lap band surgery and is close to Paducah. I have all my paperwork done because I went online at remedydr and filled out the forms and ?'s they wanted...but I was also wondering if I have to see a dietican or nutritionalst? (maybe spelled wrong) or do the drs that do surgery have one to talk to..I am getting ready to change my lifestyle and would like to hear from someone that has had surgery and knows of the drs and insurance...thanks..for the help...Pam

Pam, Dr. Shina in Louisville takes medicare if you don't mind traveling.....I go to him, and I drive 4 hrs. one way for my follow ups.....and I don't mind it cause he is a great Dr.
