The long road home-Was your trip home from the hospital painful?

When I have my surgery, I'll be 2 hours from home. Since I'm having the Lap Band, I'll only have a one night stay. Will I be in agony on the way home? There's really no other Bariatric surgeons within two hours from home. Should I stay in Louisville (where the surgery will be) for a day or two just in case I have complications? Or will I be longing for my own bed? Thanks. Karen

I had open rny and was in the hospital for 5 days. I live in Etown and was about 45 miles from home. Surgery was in Louisville at Suburban. The pain coming home was not bad at all. I had my hubby bring a pillow in the car and I held it over my tummy. It was fine. Exhausting but fine. Good luck
