question for stage and week 3

when were you able to tolerate bread and crackes i know my papers say for later stage but just wanting to know cause i have seen were pople start some of the stuff early

I am almost 3 months out and I havent done any bread or crackers. I would keep shooting for the proteins and definately stick with your doctors program. The first few weeks are rough but it does get better.

well i could do crakers at 3 mo.....i ate wheat thins and cheese..........but at 9 mo i just got the go ahead and up those carbs........so i have 1 piece with ham and cheese.......but don't do white bread........it feels so heavy.........and i always toast mine before i eat it.........i do also have cereal now to........i get my protein in and thats what i worried about when i was 3mo out and i still worry.........but i think moderation is our answer........but always go by what your doc says..........vickie r,

Jessica, I wouldn't start anything earlier than your doctor recommended. You might even start later but never earlier. You sure don't want to run the risk of damaging your stoma or your connections between your pouch and intestine. Take things slowly so you don't have to worry whether you might do any damage to yourself. Kathy
