Hello, I need some questions answered.
I'm not new to the OH. I've hung out here some over the last couple of years. I recently decided to look into options again to see if there was a way to get the lap-band.
I already know that my insurer will NOT pay for any part of weight loss surgery as it is a exemption in my employers policy. I am looking at going to Georgetown in a few weeks to a siminar. What my biggest question I guess would be. How much does it cost out of pocket? Will they work with you to find a way to have the surgery or set up payments to make it possible to have surgery?
Hi Mary, since every center charges different amounts..some charging for fills after and some not...others will give you a year free. I would suggest you ask someone at the center. Cathi Roskind works for Georgetown Bariatrics often times reads the board. I am sure if she sees your question she will give you information on who you can speak to.

Mary,
The doctor I have has a card that comes with the packet. I didn't use mine, so I tossed it. But, there are financial groups out there that will finance your surgery. Ask your billing clerk at your chosen surgeon's office. They should be able to steer you in the right direction. Good Luck!! I saw where someone took out a home equity loan to have their surgery done. So, if there is a will, there is a way. I hope you have success in finding what you need!!
