What would you do for plastics?

OK Time for everyone the truth... This is an honest question and I want an honest answer. After loosing 330 lbs I have skin, My belly is ok its not a 6 pack but maybe a twelve pack, down from a barrel. My leggs pass me when I walk (the worst) My arms flabby on the bottom side. and my chin whel I will hide during turkey season. Be honest how important is it that your significant other doesnt look like he or she could be in a "jello bowl gone wild" comercial. I mean lets face it men are as bad as women when it come to finding the perfect hott soul mate. But also lets face it, by the stats Gastric bypass changes most relationships. Now that you have found a new you does your feelong of the opposite sex change too? Should i take all means possible to save my money and get Plastic Surgery? Should I say heck with it and Buy a new Harley and install alot of dimmer switches in my house? I figure they will both cost about the same and lets face it me on a Harley with a nice women is just as dangerous as plastic surgery. I guess what I am asking is what would you do for plastic surgery? Do you feel that completes your transformation? Is the next surgery going to be worth it? hope to here from all of you because the further out you get the more the plastics will play with your mind......talk soon ron

It's been a long time since I have seen you Ron, bet I wouldn't recognize you if I ran into you.. I am going for plastics but mainly because I have this huge hernia..with that I should get a TT paid for..(hopefully) but I do believe if I were younger and not married I would definately go for it, why not? If it makes you feel better then I think you should..if you are comfortable with what you have now, then go with that..it's not what others feel or think, it's what we feel about ourself that's important,, wouldn't you agree? take care..good to see you posting! Hey Brenda I can somewhat agree but on the other hand Its also a money issue I am ok with me but I also know that when i go to the pool I may not be 600 lbs but i now get stares from the loose skin. I am 38 and not married but ok with me but lets just say I also am nervous with my shirt off either at the pool or in my house. But I can also say at 600lbs I was happy with me as a person....Like I said the can operate on the belly doesnt ,cure the mind.......

Have you checked into the surgery Ron? do you know for sure insurance will not pay for it? If you have not that would be my first step..go talk to Dr. Butterfield or Dr. Martin...Dr. Butterfield will be doing some surgeries at St. Luke from what I understand. she takes insurance and can pretty well tell you what will or will not be covered. Since you lost such a significant amount of weight, they just may help you out ...An office visit is minimal..probably what 25 bucks to find out? it would be worth it.... good luck and certainly keep everyone informed...these are the things that people want to hear and know about!! You only have one life, and you've got to be happy with yourself. There's nothing wrong with doing what you have or want to do for your body! Now, the money thing, I can't speak to. I'm broke as a joke, so if insurance won't cover all or most of it, it ain't gonna happen. I'm fairly certain that I'll have a tt covered by insurance, and through some complicated and personal means, my breasts and arms will probably be done, too. There's nothing wrong with it, if you ask me!

i AM ONLY 9 MTHS OUT AND I WOULD DO IT FOR SURE. BUT BEING A STAY AT HOME MOM THE MONEY JUST ISN'T AND WON'T BE THERE FOR QUITE A WHILE. I WILL LOOK INTO HAVING MY PANNI REMOVED THAT IS FOR SURE. I WAS ASKED THIS YEAR AT A PUBLIC POOL "HOW DID YOUR SKIN GET SO OLD", THE LITTLE BOY WAS LOOKING AT MY ARMS. YOU ARE RIGHT, NOW MORE THAN EVER, EVEN THO WE ARE NORMAL SIZE WE STILL DRAW ATTENTION. IF I HAD THE MEANS I WOULD GET IT ALL AND THE HARLEY TOO. THAT WAS ONE OF THE THINGS I WANTED TO DO WHEN I LOST 100LBS WAS RIDE ON A BIKE. HAVEN'T DONE THAT YET. I WOULD WAIT TILL THE KIDS GOT OLDER AND GET A FULL TIME JOB BUT UNTIL THEN ITS ALL MIND OVER MATTER. IF "I" DON'T MIND IT DON'T MATTER. GOOD LUCK JANE

Ok so maybe im not far enough out to have much of an opinion on this topic however I am going to put my 2cents in. I am 27. and the 50+ lbs I have lost I can already see the skin. I know I will have alot on my belly area based on the fact that I have had 4 children. I noticed my arms in the mirror of my van the other day and it bothered me. I am thrillled that I am a healthier person but I would like to not have to deal with the extra skin. I have not started saving for plastics yet but in the up coming months I am sure I will start. I have been working out trying to avoid the extra but i think this early out my body is still playing catch up. lol Maybe if Jane wants to wait a little bit we can do plastics together lol.

Ok I'll wait but I'm already chickening out og doing the tatoo thing. You know with my new eating plan I can't eat crow anymore. Thanks for sprucing up my profile it is beautiful. Yea the tattoo thing... give me a couple weeks and you and I are going out on an aunt/neice outting lol I dont take anyone to my tattoo shop and leave without ink lol. The wedding idea rocks! I would love to see that. I think you should seriously consider it. If ya do get re married can I be in the wedding this time????? lol I know your wedding was small but this time if ya do the wizard of oz theme... i'd be small enough to be dorothy haha! lol Jane you and Sarah are to much..Hey don't forget I work on wedding events as well, ...if you need help just yell...LOL I have been thinking about this surgery thing I am having done next week..I told Dr. Tom I wanted to chose my OR crew..he laughed of course, but we chose a day when he knew my favorites would be there..now i am worried..I am thinking I might wake up with a strange body peirce or tattoo of some type..LOL ahhh at least I can laugh about surgery, ehy?
