Hi. I'm new to the boards (just posted last week). I'm in the process of getting approval from Norton's Bariatrics (I go tomorrow for Psych. & Nutritional Counseling) and insurance (Humana PPO). I live in Owensboro, KY. I'd love to get in touch with anyone who's had experience with Dr. Allen at Norton's and Human PPO. It's great to be a part of this group! Karen

Hi! welcome to the board. Dr. Allen done my husbands bypass 2 years ago and hernia surgery last oct. he is a wonderful dr. I am in the process of getting all my stuff together also, I did my counseling last year but will have to redo it all over again do you know if your seeing Erin and George they are both super people. Laura Baldwin is a great person to deal with at the center they all seem like they really care she went above and beyond while my husband was there we were there for six weeks do to complacations. I don't think I could have made it without them. Dr.Allen is a very busy man he travels and teaches alot also so don't be surprised if they have to reschedule your appts. from time to time. my husband has lost over 250lbs so next step is plastics for him. as for ins. he had medicare and I have Ky Access I pray they are not going to be hard to deal with I really need this surgery, please let me know how your visit goes at the center you can e-mail me also if you would like [email protected] I'm not that far from you I live in Beaver Dam.
