Hello Everyone Guess when you post on all the boards except the state board you belong something is weird huh? I been doing well since my surgery now down 330lbs Total. what can I say. I guess I have pondered many things the surgery has done for me but I can also say they havent cured all my problems. I just wanted to through some stuff out there and see if this is common in all of you. IM still 38 Still not married. Still no kids. Stll think about my weight everyday. Still think about food. Still think about exersize. Still worry that I wont fit into seats. Still dread Airline seats. Still go to the big Mens Dept. Still dread getting into someone else car. Still ask for tables in resteraunts. Still feel people are staring at me. Still want to feel normal. Cool thing is now I can Run walk stairs look forward to being 39 KNow if i have kids I will hopefully live to see them grow old Know my weight is stable I can eat healthy Exersize and enjoy it. I can enjoy event with litle seats. I can fly without an seat extender Can shop at kmart and buy 10.00 jeans I can fit in a Toyota fit in a booth Know they dont stare unless i got ketchup on my shirt. I still know im not normal but what is normal? I will be 2 years out in nov. wouldnt change anything in the world. My advise to anybody is do whats right. The surgery was a tool, use it as one. I have seen so many people do so well then get out of habit and fall off the wagon. A Dr once told me "this is a tool and most of all you have done the most drastic thing you can do to loose weight , this your oppurtunity to do it, there is nothing left if you fail where do you go? " I live by that!! I WILL NOT FAIL!! I am no expert, I do not tell anyone how to do the weight loss. I am a firm beleiver in self taught university, I do my own research . compile my facts and treat myself as a individual that made things work for me. I offer advise as a tool. I also surround myself with people like me, I have met so many angels on these boards and for that I am a success. In may I held a KY derby party with about 20 people from a board i frequent on here and I can tell you I laughed ,cried and we were all inspired. We were like kids all the way to 10 of us riding in the back of a pickup.I never felt so normal in my life,I ask all of you to do what makes you feel normal, for I was never normal and lost alot of my life to OBESITY. To the critic of gastric bypass, We all tie our shoes in a different way. therefore dont judge until you have walked in my shoes. I did what I did out of survival and most of all I wanted to live beyond 40. So far my dreams look great, so who needs critics... The only advice I will give you all is the following its what I live by everyday.. Live life like you were dying You get one chance We all live on borrowed time. Surround yourself with people that love you, for you I hope you all have a great day and maybe we can all have a KY party soon.... I am in Ron Vasko November 1 2004 rny highest weight 592 current weight 260ish

Hey Ron Thanks! What a nice post. You are two years out and I am 9 mths out. Same feelings. I wonder will I ever feel normal? Dr. Tom saved my life. I am so proud to be playing with my kids. I can go down the slides. I can go to the water park. And I make good choices now. I love being a wife more than ever. I am so afraid I'll wake up and my dream will be over. Thanks again Jane 296/166/150 goal
