OT: Pirates of the Carribean

Hubby and I just got back from seeing Pirates of the Carribean Dead Mans Chest and it was fabulous...I was just wondering, are these movies based on books? If so, whos the author, etc? I am a avid reader and even though I love seeing Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom as pirates I would love to read books... Thanks ya'll... The movie was great, the ending just left me frustrated and ready for more, lol. Thanks Ange

Hi Angela, I don't think they are based on any certain book. When they were making the first one I seen a interview with Jerry Bruckheimer (the producer) and he said they were looking to add elements from several things. The main thing being the Ride at Disney World, since this was a disney picture. He DID say they also looked at elements from the book Treasure Island however, the movie is not based on that book at all. We went to the Drive In and seen this Friday night and loved it!

It was pretty cool...I am going to go see it again with my brother in a couple of weeks. I wonder how many pirates movies they are making? Have a good one! Ange

HIJACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to tell you I am going to have some yorkie babies in Auguest. (I hope). i ended up using my little three pound stud. That was a sight to see for sure. i told my vet about it yesterday and he laughed his head off.

Hi Delores! Congrats on the little yorkie babies. I bet they will be soooo adorable! They really are the cutest little things. I don't know what I would do without mine. He is the king of the coop thats for sure! And to answer your questin Angela, I think they are making 3!
