Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge
Ingredients:
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup Creamy peanut butter
2 scoops Chocolate UNJURY protein powder
10 individual packets Splenda
Makes 9 small servings; 11.5 gm Protein per serving; 6.8 gm Carbohydrate per serving
Measure 2 level scoops Chocolate UNJURY in a bowl. Add 10 individual packets of Splenda. Blend Splenda and Chocolate UNJURY with a for****il thoroughly blended.
In a small saucepan, melt margarine and peanut butter - warm up JUST enough to melt the margarine and soften the peanut butter using very low heat - do not boil or cook. Remove from heat, blend the margarine and peanut butter thoroughly.
Let the saucepan cool for 2 minutes.
Slowly add Chocolate UNJURY and Splenda mixture, stirring until thoroughly blended. Thorough mixing is important. Place in small container and chill in the fridge.
Brenda, do you have anything that I could use unflavored unjury in? I cant tolorate chocolate very well and the only unjury I have gotten is unflavored. You know that I have been having some problems getting all of my protein in and I am pretty much open to any ideas. I have made protein milk shakes and such, I have also done just the carnation instant breakfast with unjury in it but by the time im finished drinking it... its not cold enough (but i cant stand stuff thats too cold... go figure) anyway ... any ideas would be great!!
TY
WEll, I am 3 yrs. out now so I can choose better tasting stuff ..you will eventually get to that stage.
I have heard of people sprinkling it on the cereal..oatmeal, etc....I would suggest you email Beth or call her, let her know you just can't handle that nasty stuff..maybe she can come up with a better solution..I know she is very strict about her protein choices so I don't want to give you bad ideas or bad habits, she or Dr. Tom might yell at me..LOL
Also, I am not that familiar with you stages of diet as she has it set up..so I wouldn't want to over step there either.
See you on Monday, right?
Brenda
thinking back Sarah..when I made my shakes I would put part of it in the frig or even freezer, I liked mine to the point of frozen crystals..I would take out what I could take in small amounts at a time.
It's been 3 yrs now, I can't hardly remember what I did yesterday..but I will go to my support group board and ask around for ideas.
Brenda
yes u will definately see me Monday night!!!
and as far as remembering things goes.......yesterday to me is actually 2 days ago... gotta love working 3rds lol. As far as my diet goes... i am on regular foods. Tom said just to try things as I go but I know I cant eat anything and everything I am just getting bored with the same stuff... I am a chili freak but some of it just doesnt sit well with me. I am still in my comfort zone with soups and stuff but I have tried regular foods... and every day its different. anyway I have got to get some sleep... pretty much been up since 2pm yesterday and I have to work again tonight. We can talk about it more on Monday.
I have seen where a lot of people put Unjury into their coffee, tea, cottage cheese, jello, pudding or just about anything else. When I get my surgery done I will have to put it into a lot of things to try it out and supplement my protein intake. When I met with Beth she wanted me to have between 85 - 100 gram a day and to stay on the high side, so I will definately being doing the supplements.
But first we have to get my Ins to agree.....
