Lurker no more

Hey, I've been reading on this board since about December. I finally decided it was time to say hello to you all.. I've learned quite a bit from just reading and I am getting much closer now. I'm finished with all pre-op testing. I done my sleep study almost three weeks ago and now I'm just waiting for my surgeon {Dr. Laura Velcu @ Three Rivers Medical Center} to get a copy of that report. From there they will call in for approval. I will keep everyone posted, and hope to hear from you all soon.. ~Katrina

Hey Katrina, I am relatively new here myself and like you, I was a lurker for the longest time. I've been researching this surgery for over five years now and I have finally decided that it's the right tool for me to use. I am going to St. Joes East for my surgery, I haven't been assigned a surgeon yet, because we are waiting for my Uk PPO to kick in the first of July. Then the kaboodle gets going from there. Yeah I was required to take one. It wasn't too bad, lots of wires though.. I am still waiting on the results. Monday will be exactly three weeks, I am hoping to hear something by then. Katrina

I'm new here myself. I have been reading on the boards for quite sometime and decided to join. Right now, I am learning about surgery and reading all the info. I want to know everything. :) Everyone seems so nice and friendly here.
