wanted to say hello!!
Hi everyone...I have been crazy busy, my daughters wedding is in 4 weeks..she just closed on her house last night and got the keys. I was with her all afternoon and this evening getting the house ready to move in..
Unfortunately my father suffered a stroke this weekend (while driving) thankfully he didn't have an accident but did run off the road and ran a stop sign..mom got him to stop so she could drive..they were cming to my daughters wedding shower when this happened. Mom was so upset.. I am trying to help them ..help my daughter and still work..I am exhausted.
I just wanted to say hello, whenever I disappear I get emails wanting to know where I am..so thought I would give you an update. I am afraid I will be very busy until after the wedding July 15th.
take care of yourself...get out and enjoy this weather!!
Brenda
you guys are so awesome..thanks for the well wishes. Dad is seemingly better the last couple of days. so maybe those prayers are working!
I am stressed to the limit with helping my daughter get things ready in her new house...we had accomplished alot..this weekend her friends will start helping her move and her fiances' dad paid for amoving company to take all the furniture from the apartment to the house..I thought that was so sweet..he said my daughter had done so much without Rob that he didnt' want to see her move by herself..
She tied a huge yellow Ribbon around the tree in the front yard last night...hung a star in the front window (meaning someone in that home is over seas)...and put out her American Flag...it brought tears to my eyes.. She and her friends are making a huge "Welcome Home" sign for the front of the house...this girl amazes me with all she has done almost totally alone...purchasing the new house to making all these arrangements, to being pretty mu*****ontrol of the wedding..She has made me a very proud mom!!
With all of this my son was activated and sent to Guantanamo Bay..so I have no idea when he will get home, my daughter threatened him ..he is in the wedding too!!
lordy..if this all comes together at the end it will be a miracle from God..LOL
My biggest fear for my daughter was Rob would not make it home in time for the wedding..but he did talk to his commanding offcer and since he is theonly one in his unit getting married when he comes home, he is allowing him to leave Iraq a little earlier than first planned. He will leave on the 8th..it takes 5 days after the debriefing..the wedding is the 15th..now I don't know about you all..but that is cutting just a weeeee bit close for me..LOL..he will be home for 5 days after the wedding then back to Iraq for 6 more months..how hard will it be for this boy to leave this time?
I will ask her if I can post a couple of pics of the wedding, she is kinda weird about putting pics on the internet but maybe I can get her to do at least one.
Talk to ya'all soon..
remember, as the weather gets warmer you need more fluids..don't dehydrate, drink plenty of water esp. if you are doing any activities.
