Georgetown receives ASBS Center of Excellence award!

Bluegrass Bariatric Surgical Associates (Dr's Weiss and Oldham) as well as Georgetown Community Hospital (The Bariatric Center at Georgetown) received the American Society of Bariatric Surgery (ASBS) award as a Center of Excellence! This award became effective June 5th, 2006! This award means that the mentioned hospital and surgeons meet the strict criteria set forth by ASBS/SRC, and that they perform quality surgery with good patient outcomes, in a bariatric friendly setting. I already knew it was it was a center of excellence without that being awarded but I know you have been waiting for this to happen. Congratulations to both doctor's and staff as well as the hospital and staff. Georgetown has been excellent for me and I am so grateful for it. Violet

I'm not surprised. The Bariartic Center & Georgetown hospital is by far the best in this area! I know I'm bias but this award proves I've been right all along!! Congrats to all the nurses, staff, Dr. Weiss & Dr. Oldham. You deserve it!!!

Does the Bariatric center or Georgetown hopsital accept ky Medicaid?

Cathi,,, Georgetown? A Center of Excellence? DEFINITELY!!!! If it wasnt for God, DR Oldham and his wonderful staff and the staff at Georgetown Hospital,, this gal wouldnt be here now. Everyone was so good to me thru my RNY then when I had a complication , I recieved excellent care and knew in my heart that the DR, and the nurses really cared about me.
