Tummy Tuck...
Just wanted to say WOW!!! I dont know much about the procedure yet. I have lot 65 pounds. Still want 40 more off. But....intend to have the surgery. I have multiple surgeries though and really for about 8 hours after you should sleep.. Then you will get up and walk. I dont think you need to take a bunch of stuff . I even stay in the hospital gown and use another as a robe and you get tooth brushes. I have learned to travel light at the hospital...
Hope this helps..

Hey Shelly...my name is Marty Slone and I had a lower body lift (all the way around butt, outer thigh, and tummy) on April 12th. I was part of a case study in which they used something called Platlet Gel Therapy instead of a glue. They use your bodies own blood product to make an adhesive to hold the incision together. I have to say it worked beautifully. The benefit is that your body rejects the artificial glue as a foreign body and tries to get rid of it. With Platelet Gel from your coming from your own body it is not a foreign object. Your body will immediately start the healing process. There will be less PAIN, less bruising, faster healing, less scarring, less chance of infection and all around better result. I was off all pain medication after 5 days. I was sitting in a chair and eating breakfast the day after surgery. Neither of these are common for the belt-line lipectomy (aka lower body lift). The cost of this ranges from $500.00 to $800.00. This is not widely used in cosmetic procedures. They use it a lot in heart surgeries and such for less risk of infection. It is so worth the cost. No insurance will cover this expense. It will allow to return to your life much faster than expected. Talk with your doctor and do some research online. I am so glad someone told me about it and I am just passing on the info. It made a world of difference for me. The surgery which I was so dreading and was told would be horrific....was a breeze. The worst part was when they removed the drainage tubes. Advise on that...take a pain pill an hour before they remove the drains....it is over quickly but it does hurt. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Good luck. I am sure everything will be fine. I have to say I lost 220lbs and 22 inches from my waist. It made all the difference. Take care.
