Support Groups

Does anyone know where I can find a schedule of support group meeting times and places for Louisville Bariatrics? I'm a patient of Dr. Shina's and would like to attend some of the support group meetings. Thanks.... post here or contact me at [email protected]. Anna

Hello Anna, I don't know of any real life support groups per say, but I am thinking that you could call the surgeons office and find out if they have regular seminar meetings and/or support groups as such. I know that just in the short time that I've been here, I've already made 2 potential real life friends for support for this surgery. I would encourage you to make regular posts and read the profiles here. When you see a profile that relates to you personally, click on their email link and write the person a letter and share your story. Maybe they'll write you back and offer some *going-through* support and help you that way. I hope that helps, I'm here for you too, so drop me a line if you like. Take care-- Dee

There is a support group that meets at the Hardin County Public Library in Radcliff every third Monday of each month at 6pm. Next meeting is on the 19th.
