How long for Insurance approval with Ky Passport/Medicaid?
I just has my 2nd visit with my surgeon, Dr Rodriguez. He told me next time he sees me it will be on the operating table! I am all too excited, understandably. My question is this. I have BCBS as my primary insurance, and Passport as secondary. I already know BCBS doesn't cover this, no way, no how. I was also told by Passport that once BCBS denies the claim, it gets submitted to Passport, who after viewing my case files will either deny, or approve the surgery. According to everyone I have talked to, I will likely be approved. I am just curious as to how long this will take? Anyone out there with similar case? If so, please let me know! Thanks a million!

Thanks for the quick reply. Seems to make the wait more bearable when I get to hear such wonderful things happening from Dr Rod's other patients. You are truly doing great! So how is it for you right now? Everything well? Any things hard to keep up with? I wanna hear it all! Thanks again, and keep up the SUPER job!!! WTG!!!
My brother in law had medicaid and disability, not sure if thats the same or not, but it wasn't long at all. Maybe 5 days after they submitted. He had to have a letter from his pcp stating that he needed the surgery, etc. Hope that helps...
