Hopefully, weather permitting, we are taking our 2 younguns to the zoo Saturday. I haven't been to the zoo in 11-12 yrs so I am pretty excited too. Adam says he's never been, James my stepson has been with his mom to the one in Nashville years ago. Our 4 yr old daughter, Allison has never been and my father in law has never been. So it should be a great day for all of us. Then Saturday night Adam and I are dropping off the kids at moms and going on our date. We are supposed to have a monthly date but haven't been out since Valentines. We're going to the movies and out to eat. I am real excited about that too. I love my kids but its also good to spend alone time with just Adam. Anyone know what they got at the zoo nowdays? How long does it usually take to walk thru? Hugs Ange

Hey Vickie, sounds awesome. I feel like a kid and can't wait. The tickets were not nearly as expensive as I thought they would be. Should be a blast long as its not raining again...My garden is water logged, lol. Ange

Make sure you go through Lorakeet Landing.....it's so neat. And don't forget to check out the gorillas. Plan on spending several hours if you want to see everything. You might also want to take a ride on the train. I was actually at the zoo yesterday for my son's field trip. I hope you have a great time and the weather is nice!!!

Lorakeet landing? Is that where birds can fly on u, land on u? I am petrified of anything with a feather. I have a phobia, lol. Comes from being flogged by a very angry chicken when I was very young. Mamaw sent me to get the eggs at the barn one morning and I thought this hen was dead so I took a tobacco stick to knock her off the nest and she wasn't dead. Needless to say, I have been scared of anything with feathers ever since. But the hubby, younguns and father in law will love that. I will park myself somewhere. I would rather touch a snake than a bird, yes I have problems, lol. Just can't help it. I think birds are beautiful, just don't want one touching me. Hugs Angela U have my permission to laugh at me! I do....

LOL.....definitely don't go through there if you're scared of birds. When I went there one landed right on my head. My 2 yr old sure got a kick out of that....LOL!!

LOL I can see me freaking out right in the middle of the zoo. I believe I will find a bench near by while Adam takes the kids in. Thanks Angela
