just wanted to say hello!!
Hey everyone sorry I havn't been around much, I am working on my daughters wedding plus tons going on with her fiance in Iraq...things are always emotional before a wedding this is more so than even I expected..we hear he is ok, then she hears more bombing in his area then silence again...until she gets a call she is emotional..just tugs at your heart strings. My father has been ill so I need to take care of the family as mom doesn't get around as well these days..
anyway, we are having things going on over the memorial weekend, her bridal shower in June at my house, then the wedding in July ..the last minute stuff is sooo time consuming and lets talk about the money..holy moly!! Not to mention I just got a new job offer...I have an interview on SAt..but it's only preliminary..so I won't know anything until I get a letter in the mail that I move on to the next phase.
I just wanted to stop in to say hello and let you know I am still alive and kicking..Thank you so much to those who sent me emails worrying about me..bless your little hearts!!
Brenda
Hey Brenda!!!
It is nice hearing from ya. I am sorry to hear about your dad, I will keep you and your family in my prayers! It sounds like your life is as hectic as mine. I have some great news Brenda.....I was approved for my revision....I got the news about an hour or so ago.......June 9th....7:30AM ...Norton Hospital in Louisville. I hope this time around is better than last....pray for me....especially during the surgery......and pray that I can keep my pain tolerance up to par for this....I remember last time I was in so much pain when I woke up that I just wanted them to give me something to kill me fast...I felt like I was dying of a slow painful death.....Im very scared that I will wake up to all that pain again....which I know it will be similar to the last time....I just hope it isnt as intense as the last time......I wasnt prepared for an OPEN surgery last time because I was told it would be done LAP and woke up with a big surprise!!!
Anyway....CONGRATS to your daughter....and I hope all goes well with all your family plans and the wedding!!!
that is great congratulations
I am so happy to hear you got your approval..did you ask the doc if he uses the on Q pain pump?? I hear it works, don't know I didn't have it and i had open too.
anyway I know some folks that had plastics and the pain pump was used..they said it helped alot..one day when I get the nerve I will have plastics and you bet your sweet patootie they will use that on me!!!
lol
things will settle down here after the wedding..he is only home for two weeks then back to Iraq..emotions will be flying once again..but I think he will be home by Christmas...i hope!!
Brenda
Been wondering where you were! Sounds like you've got your hands full. You should make time for a massage.............you deserve it! I met you @ g-town & things are going great w/me. I've lost over 50 lbs & can take off my jeans without unbuttoning them! I can't wait to weigh once a week now. I had a strickure but that was taking care of. I've been telling everyone how great the surgery is. Hang in there. I'll keep you in my thoughts & prayers.
I remember our meeting Ginny, I am so glad you are happy and working that tool!,...but you had two awesome docs working with you- you are bound to do well...keep up the good work- the weight loss is awesome..
I am still here at my desk working ;-(... see the tears flowing..lol
gotta make money to pay for this wedding!!
take care of yourself and definately keep me posted!!
wow Karla,...Milford is just down the street..my daughter bought a house off Clertoma..know where that is? she will close on it in a couple of weeks then she will move. I am hoping she finally clears out her old bedroom so I can reclaim that space.
(it's only been a year!!) since she moved into her own apartment.
anyway...thanks for saying hello!!
Brenda,
Yes, I live very close to Cleretoma! We grew up in Old Milford! My dad was the Mayor there recently, and for a few terms! I grew up going to the dime store on Main St., and 100 Main, which is now different, but the building is still there. Then there was the corner barber shop that they have just escavated! I love it there!
So, how old is your daughter, may I ask? Did she go to Goshen, or somewhere else? I went to Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy! (in Montgomery).
Nice chatting with you!
Karly
HI Karly...
my daughter is 26 a police officer in Clearcreek Twp, Warren co..(.around Springboro)...her fiance is in the army, now in Iraq..
she attended and graduated from Loveland High School as did I..so I have been around the area all my life as well...the places you mention are all familiar to me as well as your school..
we moved to Goshen after my son went into the military academy and my daughter was in her senior year, so that we could bring our horses out of hock (boarding) and put them here at our place....they and we are much happier now!
Brenda
hey Brenda... I thought I was going have to call search and rescue for you. Actually I feared your father wasn't doing so well and didn't want to bother you.
BTW in case you are wondering its Ryan, I changed my online name due to some unfortunate happenings elsewere on OH. JUst a precaution mind you.
Weddings are always emotional. I hope your soon to be son-in-law comes through in perfect health.
