sleep study

Can Anyone tell me when you have the sleep study . how long does it take to get the surgery after that

Hi Toni, for me I had my sleep study early Sept and I didn't make the appt with the surgeon until I was sure I had sleep apnea to go along with my diabetes and high blood pressure. My seminar and consult with Dr Shina was Oct 5, 04. I got approved January 10, 05 and my surgery was 3/24/05. My insurance co gave us the run around, the stalling tactics, lol. Drove me nuts cause I am very impatient. I don't know what type of insurance u have though, they might get u right thru. Its different with each insurance co and varies on whether or not there is a long waiting list for your surgeon. I waited from Jan 10 till Mar 24, seemed like a long time to wait from approval to surgery at the time, but it flew by and this past year has too. Its been great and u will be here before ya know it.
