Calling all NKY people

Hi!
I am going through the process now with Dr. Sonnanstine. I am hoping to have it done the middle of June, but I don't have a "date" yet.
I love this place, but I'm still fairly new to it myself.
Thanks!

I just joined the board tonight, and just had my first visit with Dr. Smith this week. I am pursuing a lap band. I used Optifast last year, lost 80 pounds, then started eating food again. Now my butt has caught up with me. I have gained most of what I lost. Ugh! I am sooo tired of this. I would be thrilled to be a size 14 again!
I was afraid of the gastric bypass and the mortatlity rate, as I read more and more about the lap band I decided that was for me. The intial thought of a lap band and my actual appointment with Dr. Smith happened within one week. I was lucky enough to get right in to see him. I'm thinking Dr. Curry is involved in the lap band with him right now. The surgery is at Deaconess... Which surgery did you all have?
I have an echocardiogram scheduled for Monday (also used Phen Fen years ago), nutrition and psych evaluations this week. That will wrap everything up for the letter to be sent to insurance. I can't believe this has fallen into place so quickly. I am very excited, but nervous about the echo. I was/am in the don't test, don't know category.
I walked around Target tonight thinking next summer I can wear that! Julia Roberts is on Letterman, thin people do not age well!
