Revised from band to sleeve on June 6th, 2012. Lost 48 pounds on my own in the 4 months prior to revision.

HI, I had Lap RNY on Oct 21, 2008, Dr Hachem was my surgeon, I had it at Geary Community Hospital in JC, I live in Chapman. One of the best things I found helped me was going to the meetings. I would be very happy to chat with you & if you need someone there to visit or talk to while in the hospital, let me know!! So far to date I have lost 70+ pounds but that is counting what I lost before the surgery also... Good Luck!!!

First of all, i am sorry you have to wait so long, because I'm going nuts and I'm only a month out. BUT, and this is a huge but (like mine...

) At least they are taking precautions with you! I would rather see you have to wait a little longer so you can be healthy and get though this better with two surgeons. Better safe than sorry!
I will for sure keep in touch with you and keep you posted on surgery,recovery and also what to expect from the hospital and staff. Maybe it will help...in the mean time keep your head up..It will be here before you know it!

Well the phone finally rang. My date is january 29th

They had trouble co ordinating the schedule of the two surgeons. Because my hernia is so big Dr. Steward wanted another surgeon to assist.

They said it will be about 6 hours long.

I guess I have waited this long whats another 60+ days ...sigh...please keep in touch with me. You will be a month out when I go in. I will be interested in your recovery. Thanks
