Actually there are numerous forts and museums/historical societies across Kansas.  I live in Larned (just about right in the center of the state)...Fort Larned National Historic Site is interesting, also the Santa Fe Trail Center...of course, Dodge City has historic Front Street & the Dalton Gang Hideout is near Meade, I think...those are both in SW Kansas...and then there are various historical-related festivals and such at different times of the year with special activities.  Let me know where the wedding is and I would be happy to check out more info for you

Does anyone know if all the surgeons at Tallgrass perform the DS?  If not, which ones do?  Does the patient choose the surgeon or is one assigned?

Topic: BEST Sugar Free Margarita Mix EVER!
Hey Everybody!!
I just had to share this with all of you! There is a lady that lives in the town that I do that created a Margarita mix that has ZERO Sugar, ZERO Carbs, ZERO Calories and ZERO Fat.. If you are a Margarita lover like I am, you have got to try this product.  It is GREAT!  It is being sold right now through a citrus tree company, but she will have her own webpage up soon, when she gets it up, I will let everyone know!  But if you are interested in having a Lemon or Lime Tree and want some Margarita mix, you can find it at : www.keylimepietree.com/nocarbarita.html

I know I have not been on this site for quite some time, but I am trying to get back on track.  I have done pretty well with maintaining my weightloss.  My surgery was in March 2005, I weighed 240, I am still at 130.  I am very happy with my success.  I hope everyone is doing great.

Have any of you heard of used the website: "meetup.com"

It's a pretty cool way to meet ppl with similar interests, such as WLS.

I looked and there weren't any groups for WLS, yet, so I started my own!

It's going to met just an informal meeting for those who have had or want to have WLS, we will meet in Overland Park, at the library. First meeting we will just brainstorm about what we want the group to be.

I hope people can come and share ideas and be support for people.

SO TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS!

My surgeon is on the Missouri side and they have support group once a month, but I'd like to attend something more often.

I live in Overland Park.

Where do you all go to support groups?

Should I start one?

Well, I didn't have Dr. Steward but I did have to go to him once when my surgeon was out and he seemed wonderful.

I had a GREAT experience at St. Francis. My nurse was very on the ball with everything, and when she wheeled me out of the hospital we found out my car had a flat tire. My husband had just had surgery himself and couldn't change it, and the security guards refused! So she got out our jack and changed my tire all by herself. And was extremely nice while she did it!

My husband didn't have a lot of attention while he was in, but then again I was standing right there doing everything for him. He got what he needed, and didn't even notice they weren't being attentive until he saw how they were with me. Good luck!

Revised from band to sleeve on June 6th, 2012. Lost 48 pounds on my own in the 4 months prior to revision.
