I live in Lee;s Summit and had a Roux N Y about 5 years ago with Dr. Steward.  He is a wonderful doctor and I am beyond sad that he is leaving.  You are in good hands.  All the docs there are very nice.  I just have my favorite that knows me well.   His nurse Rachelle is a sweetheart too.

Hi, Kim.
I'm so sorry to hear that you were in the hospital last night. I hope you're feeling better. We'll miss you today, but we look forward to meeting you next month, Lord willing. I do appreciate you letting me know, though, because I would have been concerned when you didn't arrive. Feel better. I hope your husband has a safe trip.
Blessings,
Mary

Mary,

I am not going to be able to make it today.  I spent the night in the hospital last night getting a transfusion and didn't get home until a short while ago.  My husband is also going out of town and I have to help him get ready.

Sorry for the last minute notice.

Kim

I was going to be banded by Dr. V, but had some internal problems (really bad hernia) that prevented me from having the band, so I had the bypass at the same time he fixed my hernia. He is a WONDERFUL doctor. Excellent credentials, very patient, and great with the family too!!!

I was just banded by Dr. Villanueva on Dec. 15. He is really great and extremely personable. I would highly recommend him and his office staff as well. He called me on a Sunday from his personal cell phone and left his personal number in case I had any questions or concerns. He is a very kind man and will go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. As far as what he charges I have no idea. I was one of the fortunate ones to have ins coverage. Good luck with everything and I wish you all the best!

I too want to express what a loss for the state of Kansas!  Not to take away from any of the surgeons at Tallgrass because they are all exceptional....Dr. Steward did my surgery, so I am a bit partial :) I am military though and had to leave him before he left me. I wish him the very best on his move for I know that family should come first. Thanks for all you have done for me and all your Kansas babies. You will be greatly missed. Safe and happy journey, wherever you may go.

Pam
