I'm going to Innovative Weight loss solutions in Junction City Ks. I start a few years ago and went through Solutions For Life. I didn't like Dr. Early.... so I moved on. It took me a few more years to find a place where I feel comfortable going through this surgery. Luckily I have a little flexibility with my insurance that will be covers the surgery.

March 12 there is a Seminar if you are interested in going.

Pardon me if this is a silly question...but if you have insurance that will cover WLS, why pay for it out of pocket?

Topic: RE: BCBS of KS does any one have it and does it cover revision?
Sorry your going through rough time right now.  Unfortunately, BCBS of KS is notorious for not covering surgery.  But that could be different if you have complications, and various by employer, so be sure to check it out.  Hope all goes well.

Hi, Jayla.
I know you're from Kansas, as am I, but I just wanted to say that I've been SO PLEASED with my entire exerience at the Weight Wise program at Edmond, OK, as well as their Foundation Bariatric Hospital there. The cost was just under $10,000, for the VSG, which covers the surgery and follow-up visits for a year. I know they do the RNY and lap band as well. It's a 2-hour drive from here, so it would be about 3 hours for you, max. Just an idea. I know local is much more convenient.
If you're looking for a support group, consider mine. The information is below, in my signature line. We'd love to have you, pre- or post-op. :)
Good luck on your journey. I know everything will work out for you.
Blessings,
Mary

I was doing Solutions for Life but I got fired from my job and couldn't afford the program. They are great there though. I am looking at Shawnee Mission....they said $5000 for lapband and $6000 for RNY. For starters, you have to attend a seminar, I think that is how most of the programs work.

St. Francis uses Solutions for Life.  Either program is good. I started with SFL, but ended up at Wesley because of insurance. I'm glad I did. I love my surgeron!!!

I have been wanting barratriac surgery. My sister got it, 2 years ago or so, in Texas. I had planned on doing it there also. But now, I really dont know. It would be sooooo much easier for myself to have it done here. I know that the main reason she had it done there was because of cost, it was much cheaper than in Kansas. I dont want it to go on my insurance, we plan on paying for it out of pocket. But where do I start here? I used to see the St. Francis weight loss surgery, but cant find it anymore, and now can only find one for wesley.

I do see a post from you, about 8 posts down, on Jan. 31st, about BCBS of KS. Is that the one?
