Nice to meet you Joy. I am going to go to my first support group meeting there Jan. 13th I think. Will you be going by chance? I am looking forward to 3 things right now. 1)Solid Food.....I am so hungry on liquids, but not really having any more weight loss 2) Getting my first fill so I won't feel so hungry 3) Weight loss! I've lost 20 pounds, but most of that was with my 10 day pre-op liquid diet. Debbie

Topic: 3rd week and weight loss has stopped!!!!
I thought the first month was the rapid loss month? I lost 14lbs the first week, 2lbs the second week and nothing the third week; I am walking 30-45 a day, eating what I am suppose to-this is very frustrating. Has anyone else had this problem so early in the program?????

Can anyone help me with information on lap band surgery? I think I can get it done in Wichita. Has anyone out there had their surgery there?

Hi Deborah, Glad you are doing so well. I have only last night tried cream of wheat, like you I got it where I could drink it through a straw. I haven't tried anything else but what you drink. You are a few days ahead of me. I don't know how much I'm supposed to eat. 1/4 a cup or 1/2 cup. I can't tell if I'm full or not. Learning together. Merry Christmas and on to a new life. Phyllis

Good for you Phyllis! I had my surgery the 12th, am still a little sore, esp when I bend down, etc, but it is much much better. The port site seems to give the most trouble, is it that way with yours? Let me know if you come up with any good congoctions for your liquids. I tried liquified mashed potatoes, green beans and meatloaf a couple of days ago (blended really well, with milk added until it was a soup). Not all that delicious, lol.

Topic: ANGEL BABIES LOOKING FOR A WING !!
I have ANGEL BABIES looking for a SUPPORT WING! If someone in this AREA would be interested in monitoring and setting up a SUPPORT NURSERY to help in this effort, please let me know. You will just recruit and monitor within your area for the Surgery Support Angels - within your area only. This way, people can have local support, visitors, friends, etc.
