Hi Sherri! I had my band done by Dr. Jesse Lopez in KC. That was when he was with WTLSC and they are the ones that have an office in Wichita (Dr. L is now in his own office in KC). However, WTLSC only does fills in Wichita, not the procedure itself. Solutions for Life in Wichita is supposed to be doing lap bands starting sometime in early 2007. Dr. Early's group. Sorry I don't know anything about them. I asked for an info packet from them a few months ago for the information, but all they sent me was stuff about RNY, even though I TOLD them I had a lapband. LOL There are also surgeons in Atchison, Topeka, and many more in KC. You might try the link right under the OH logo at the top of the page that says "find a: bariatric surgeon." Hi Sherri, I am doing real well after my surgery. It has been 9 days now. I did some errands, today the most I have moved about since surgery. I am quite tired now. I have an appt. with my Dr. Tomorrow. I have lost 13 pounds by my scales. But when all you eat is liquid what do you expect. I had my surgery by Dr. Malley, 5820 Lamar Ave..Mission , KS, Phone 913-4922576. I had my surgery at DR's Hospital , on College Ave. Overland Park ,KS Hope you have good luck finding a surgeon. So far I am happy with mine.

Yep, you read right. Since I am self pay, I am looking into the docs in mexico. Sounds strange i know, but looking this info up and getting info from people who went over there, why not? The only thing I have to research is if the place in Shawnee Mission will take me as a patient for fills. My husband is ok with it too. I have showed him all the info....I do my research on everything.....and he is ok with it. Believe me, a physician myself.....there are a number of US physicians who have went over to Mexico to get the band.
