Hi Lori - I see Dr. Jesse Lopez in KC and I think he's wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and very caring. I don't have his number handy at the moment but if you email me, I'd be glad to look it up for you.
Good luck to your mom! I'm glad she's getting it taken care of. I've heard of a few more port infections lately, so its good for us to be aware of that problem.

Welcome to the board. I read your profile and am very sorry for your loss. What type of surgery are you looking at getting? I am preop myself but have a date for surgery in March. Good luck and smooth sailing, I hope to see you have a date soon.

I drive up to Salina to see my Gyn who has been my PCP for the past 4 years. Referred me to a liv-lite sponsored program in Junction City.

I was a self pay patient at IaBs in lenexa. they are very upfront about the costs. I had two fills and I am where I need to be. I would highly recommend them. jen
Topic: Dr. Kaniewski and the Institute for Bariatric Surgery
my husband and i are interested in the DS procedure. Dr. Kaniewski is the closest place that performs this procedure but she has only performed 6 at this time. Does anyone out there know of a former patient or story of her with regards to this specific procedure?

My husband is in the first stages of being hired and I have been told by people that they use bc/bs and that they pay 100%, but thats all I know. I have found a Liv-Lite Program about 1 hour from me and my PCP has referred me there, so thats where i'm at now. Help anybody??
