Welcome Hubba! Its nice to have a DS rep on the KS board!! Congrats on your super weight loss...I found that thrift store shopping was the way to go for me while I was dropping sizes. You can find stuff with the tags still on, and save a bundle on new clothes!!

Hello, My name is Hubba, I live in Emporia I had the Duodenal Switch on August 3rd, 2006 in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr Gary Anthone I have lost 144 lbs so far and have about 50-60 more to go The only thing I struggle with is clothes. I keep buying new ones and in a few weeks they are too big. I cant wear anything that I bought in December and January For those of you here who have not decided on which surgery you are going to have, dont forget to check out the Duodenal Switch. Its not done here in Kansas, that I know of. But its worth looking into if you havn't made up your mind yet. If you have any questions about it send me a message and I will get back to you Hubba

Oh, no problem. I appreciate any guidance you might have. It's been near impossible getting info from therm or Solutions for Life reguarding what I need to do on my end and what their requirements are. Did you have your surgery here in Wichita? When did you have it done? Do you have any suggestions when it comes to the insurance part of it. How much out of pocket did you end up paying when all was said and done? Any info you would like to share would be greatly appreciated. Re: insurance, surgery, etc. If you have time. Thanks, Christie

The one on Tuesday night's through Solutions for Life is from 530 pm to 630 pm. Just look in the phone book for Solutions for Life and call them. IF you get a recording, leave a message and someone will call you back. I am not post-op yet but I went last week and they give some really good information out. They are there every Tuesday night.
