When there is a question about possible revision, I think the very first step is having the testing done, to see what size your pouch and stoma are, then kind of go from there. How much did you lose, and how much have you gained back? I had mine in 2004 also.

All of the surgeons at Tallgrass in Topeka Kansas take Medicare. They work out of St. Francis hospital which is a center of excellence.
My surgeon was Dr. Hornbostel in Sedalia MO. He works out of Bothwell Regional Hospital which is a center of excellence as well. Kansas Medicaid WILL NOT cover wls. That's unfortunate to say the least I know.

I use the choc. protein whey drink from Walmart.  I add a squeeze of herseys choc. syrup, the unsweetened kind, a pack or two of splenda and it is pretty good.  i blend it good.    I think the choc syrup helps.  after some time off the sweet other stuff it taste great. good luck and keep up the wt loss.  if I can do it anyone can.  Believe me.

Regaining some of the lost weight is typical. Question is how much have you regained and are you eating how and what you are suppose to. I'm 15mths post op and I know it is easy to get off track. My system is not as sensitive as it was so all of the reminders that once were there are not necessarily there now. I have to make special effort to eating correctly. I think the average is 20% regain of weight. Of course you do have some say in that.

Congrats on being down 50 pounds.  The pics are great and you should be encouraged by your progress.  Keep up the great work and remember the basics and you will continue you journey downward. Bill "Down 92 pounds since banded, July 2, 2007."

Topic: Updated pic on my lapband progress
I'm finally down 50 lbs since my surgery in Oct.  It's funny how we don't see the difference in the mirror everyday, but it takes my before and after pics to see it!  I love my band!
