Deborah, I know 6 months seems like a long time, but it will go faster than you think. I want to assure you that it will be worth the wait. This surgery option is just fantastic. You have to be very thankful that as a Kansan that you even have the option. Many are dying each year because BC of Kansas has set total excusions against WLS and have failed to treat it like the disease that it is. When you look at the 1000's of Kansans on the outside looking in, you have a lot to be thankful for. It is in your future....so cheer up...crack a smile and be happy. You are actually fortunate to be among the lucky ones.... John

No, I NEVER had any problems with them not calling me back.  If I called them, I was always called back in 24 hours.  Awesome surgons and office.  It will depend on your insurance and how long they take to get the information back to Dr. Hitch****s office.  My whole process from the first time I attended the required info mgt to the time of my surgery was 11 months.  It does take a long time for the whole process but well worth the wait.

Hello!  I attended the seminar this week, and Nola mentioned trying to reach her by email if you are having trouble getting through by phone.  She will check emails and most often return them after normal business hours.  Just thought I would throw that out there.  Good luck!!

Hi Cindy, I am glad to hear you are going to try and wait it out for Dr. Hoehn. My WL journey has been slow and steady but I am feeling so much better emotionally as well as physically. I have lost 55 lbs. but have been at a stall for over 2 months. But I am on several kinds of meds that side effects are weight gain and I am Type2 and PCOS which also makes losing weight difficult too. I also have leg problems that makes exercise almost impossible. But I also want to mention the emotional improvement. I don't have the constant feeling of defeat and depression about my weight. It is so profound it has really surprised me cause I did not consider myself as being depressed beforehand. Thanks for asking and I wish you all best on your journey real soon, Connie
