support in KC area?

Hello I am new, had my surgery (open) 2 months ago and was wondering if there are any support groups locally in the area? I live in Overland Park but not opposed to driving a little ways for a group. If anyone knows of any in the area please let me know.. thanks! Rosalind

I know of support groups through Tallgrass Medical in Topeka. I'm not sure if you want to drive that far but they are a wonderful group of folks. You can assess their information through the Dr. Steward's Patient Forum link on this website.

There is a support group in Shawnee and Olathe. Olathe medical center is every 3rd Thursday of the month. April 20th is the next meeting @ 7pm in the hospital's cafeteria. I have not been in a few months but am going to try to go this thursday. If you have any questions email me anytime Kelly
