Psychologist/Psychiatrist in Lawrence Kansas

Can anyone give me the name of a psychiatrist/psychologist who does the WLS psychological evaluations in the Lawrence/Topeka Kansas area? The one doctor listed on the websites I frequent informed me she no longer does these evaluations.

Hi Andrea! I had a hard time finding one here also. I had my surgury 15 months ago through LivLite in Junction City. They finally arranged my psych eval through a psychologist in Manhattan. He is out of the country right now, (he also led our support group). There is a woman who took his place. And I really like her. His name was Dr. Thomas Coleman, but for the life of me, I can't think of hers. They would be in the same office in Manhattan. I had my eval done in lawrence back in october of 2002 with a psychologist named Ellie Lecompte. She was new to the process back then but I loved her. She also continued therapy with me for 1 year after the surgy. I would recommend it to anyone.

Thank Amy but Dr. LeCompte is the one that told me she no longer does those evaluations. Everyone who used her seemed to love her but she's not doing them. She was extremely curt and offered no explanation when I talked with her. She also didn't stay on the phone long enough for me to ask her if she could recommend anyone else.

andria, call bert nash and see if they do it they would be the only ones in lawrence that would , i used to live there ,, sigh i miss it if not i know that there is a place in JC junction city that does, the name escapes me right now... if i remember it i will come back and tell you, you would think i would remember as that where mine was done... Thanks Danielle. I never think of Bert Nash. I'll go to my surgeon's visit on 3/10 and see if they have any recommendations. If they don't, I'll give Bert Nash a call.
