Liv-Lite program anyone???
Hi all,
I am considering having wls surgery through the liv-lite program. Has anyone here had their surgery through liv-lite? If so, what are your thoughts on the program and after care? Would you recommend them for wls? Any thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.
If you don't want to discuss on the message boards, feel free to e-mail via this site.
Thanks in advance to all for reading and any responses that you can give.

I personally would not recommend them. Both me and my father are looking to have the surgery done. He first contacted Liv-Lite and they were going to do his, but as I started asking questions they would not give me suffincant answers. I feel they do not want to do enough pre-testing and evaluation. I also feel they do not have a good follow-up program. I know there are others who would recommend them I just did not feel comfortable putting my life into thier hands. I have done alot of research on WLS, and I was put in contact with a gentleman named Dr. Henry Pearce (which by the way recommended this website) in Edmond OK. He has been doing WLS's for over 30 years, prior to going to one of his seminars my husband was dead set against me having WLS. Dr. Pearce answered every question and made me feel like a person not just a dollar sign. I have have attened his seminar and had my pre-consult Dr. visit. I also have done most of my pre-testing, still have a few to do. I had to switch insurance companies, so I am just waiting on that to be finalized to see if I will get approval for my WLS. Wish me luck!! I wish you the best on your road to your WLS and hope you find my post helpful.
Hi Cassandra,
I am sorry that Vanessa had such bad luck with the Liv Lite program. I Highly recommend them personally. Dr Bolleman has done thousands of surgeries and Geary Community Hospital is especially equipped to do this kind of surgery. I recieved excellent care in the hospital from very tallented nurses and technicians. Many of the nursing staff have had this proceedure done, and were very sympathetic to aftercare. They have a monthly support group that is run by a psychologist and nutritionist who are on staff. I had all the necessary pre-op testing required by my insurance, and they handled making all the appointments for me as well, as all the paperwork and contact with the insurance company.
I think you should give them a chanch. They have pre-op seminars the second Tuesday of each month at the hospital. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any other question. I am a little over 1 year post-op and have lost around 150 pounds.
Good luck.
Joan
