Dr. Steward in Topeka, KS

I am looking into having the lap band surgery and have found Dr. Steward offering a low self pay price. Have anyone here used this doctor - - if so, I would appreciate your comments and feedback. Thanks, Sherri

Hello There Yes indeed.. Dr. Steward is a fantastic surgeon.. I had the laproscopic Roux-en-y with him and Dr. Berntsen and both are performing the lapband as well.. we have many folks in our support group and post op group that have had this procedure done and they are all very very happy with it.. Dr. Steward is the best!!!! He is an excellent surgeon, and VERY committed to performing these life-saving procedures. He has an excellent bedside manner, plus he knows his stuff and pulls no punches. As many people as he sees, he still has a way of making you feel like you are his only patient. He did my Lap RNY 5/3/2004. I know I owe my life to his surgical skills. I would absolutely highly recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat! The surgical group he works with (Tallgrass) really just overall has a great bunch of surgeons and staff working for them. I consider myself blessed to have had him as my surgeon! They also have a website, www.topekaobesitysurgery.com and that tells about the surgeons, the support group and all of that. His pic is on there...he's a cutie to boot!!!
