Help finding doc near Topeka

I had lap RNY in Dec. Best decision of my life. My sister is looking into having it as well. She lives in Topeka and is interested in lap RNY, not open. Any good suggestions for doctors.

I had open rny done in Junction City, but I know there are several surgeons in Topeka also. I think when I was researching, I chose the surgeons in JC because they were more experienced. They have a list of docs here on OH. I think the ones in Topeka are with the Tall Grass Surgical center. the ones in Junction City are with LivLite.

Hi! I am having my surgery done in Topeka. A friend of mine is also having hers done there next week. Our doctor is Dr. Dunshee with Tallgrass Surgical Associates. His office holds a free informational meeting on the second Saturday of each month at St. Francis hospital. I think the meeting starts at 10 a.m. and runs for two hours. They have been really great to work with.

I have done research on Doctors around here and Tallgrass is the best in my opinion. I love dr. steward and everyone i know had their surgery done by him

Hi there, I had a lap-band placed by Dr. Brent Steward at Tallgrass in February 2005. I was self-pay and everything has been going beautifully. I highly recommend any doctor at Tallgrass-Dr. Steward, Dunshee, or Berntsen. Not one single complaint.
