Hey all, I forgot to ask you, is anyone having trouble finding what they cant eat??? I have gotten too comfortable with my eating that i am not limiting myself to what i can and can not eat. I am even eating bread now and i hate it....what should i do? any suggestions?? I am drinking diet coke now..but not too often, eating bread, crackers, rice, pasta....i have found that it does not bother me anymore, but im really not gaining anything. If i gain it might be a pound or so....just noticed that i am eating anything and everything...except candy...i stay clear of that...i try to stay with salad and soy products that i like, but just cant help the bread sometimes. I would sometimes eat a piece of toasted roll with peanut butter, and i can drink liquid with it as well....that is the weird part.I can sip my tea or whatever when i am eating and it does not bother me. When i go out to eat with my friend, i can eat the appetizer like chips and salasa or the bread they bring to the table before dinner...and then eat a bit of the dinner and take the rest home....sometimes i dont eat the appetizer and just get my dinner and still bring most of it home....could it be that i am not eating the right kinds of foods that are keeping me full for a longer period of time?? Any ideas?? Hugs Cat

Did your doctor give you a list of foods to eat? Mine said to concentrate on protein foods, then as you get further out you can add a few fruits and vegetables. Eating simple carbs (like breads) just causes cravings for more. I've been eating just as they tell me and have had pretty spectacular results so far (38 pounds lost first month).

I can't eat bread at all, it swells up and leaves a big lump. Toast, yes, bread no. I have not tried rice, but I do have pasta occasionally, just in small amounds. Try not drinking at all with your meals. My surgeon says NO LIQUID 15 min before a meal and 1 hour after. Works for me.
