The weight stopped to early

I am now 6 weeks post op. I was doing very well loosing fast for 3 weeks. Now I haven't lost a pound in the next 3 weeks. What is going on? How can the weight loss stop this quick? I still can not eat solids, so my diet consist of a protein bar, cream of wheat, a yogurt or a pudding, sugar free of course. Has anyone else experience this problem and what should I do. Feeling discouraged.

The way I understand is that sometimes your body goes into shock. It is receiving so little food, that it starts holding on to everything including fluids. I had the exact thing happen. I didn;t have any scales at home, and the first 4 weeks I lost like wildfire, and then one month I lost nothing... I think I even gained a pound. Turned out I was retainign fluid. The doc put me back on a diruetic and started losing again. I am now 6 months out, go for my 6-mo followup tomorrow. I have been yo-yoing for the past 3 weeks. down a few, up a couple, down a few. I know I need to drink more water. Don't worry, it will come off.

You are doing fantastic.. do not get discouraged.. that is called a plateau... and we have all reached them and struggled like crazy to get past them.. am a year and a half out now.. and still find those plateau's to hit hard.. but hey, those first six months will be a blessing ... just keep in course and one day suddenly you will find a tremendous weight loss .. a huge surprise.. enjoy hon.. good luck and keep that chin up.. you are doing fine. If you really feel like something is wrong, then write down EXACTLY what you eat and drink and then ask your surgeon.. they are always willing to answer any and all questions.
