Anyone in SE KS?

I am new to the board...and the journey.... I am hoping to meet others in this part of KS to talk with. Pittsburg area .... No pcp yet....no surgeon yet, Just beginning.

OH is the best place to get information. The Kansas group is pretty quiet. I check in every day or 2 to see if anyone has come on. Feel free to aske questions. I am almost 6 mo post-op. Had my open RNY by Dr Stevens in Junction City. Down 116 pounds from a high of 430. I feel incredible. Got questions? ask away! Joan

Welcome Welcome This is a wonderful journey and one so well worth taking.. Had my Roux-en-y a year and half ago and am so darn glad I did.. researched this over and over again.. went to the informational/support meetings in Topeka at the St. Francis Hospital and listened to folks that had this done already.. was so wonderful.. meetings are every second saturday and the surgeons are present to answer any and all questions.. so are the folks that have been there... Tallgrass Surgical group.. Dr. Berntsen and Dr. Steward are fantastic.. Proud to be a part of this wonderful group.. do not be afraid to ask any questions anytime.. no such thing as a sill question.. hello beth i live in mulberry and would br glad to help you if i can i had the wls operation 2/14/05. this site is a good start it helped me alot in the beginning of my search. try the main message board it is much larger than ks board. maybe we could meet sometime and talk. i had my surgery in sedelia,mo. dr phillip hornbostel was my surgeon ,well experinced in lap surgery, has did many operatios of this type ---besides he was less costly than many others. loretta [email protected]
