Thanks for all your support!!!!!!
I have received so many messages of support form you all, i am so BLESSED!!!!!!
It REALLY DOES MATTER that there are others who have been down the road i am about to travel, and have offered their wisdom and support!
THANK YOU just doesn't hardly seem adequate...
I have had to lose 30 lbs prior to surgery and this has added another dimension of stress, but i made it and am now just perking along, getting in my protein and veggies and apples, waiting until Tuesday when my sister will take me to Junction City and then return to Wichita. Won't have anyone at the hospital on Wednesday during and after surgery.....
I guess family support only comes as far as it wants to........the "issues" in my family are still the guiding force...
BUT I AM ON A VICTORIOUS PATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will keep in touch, friends!

Hey Anita, you will do just fine. I found I didn't feel much like visiting with friends or family after surgery anyway. My sister-in-law and my 2 best friends were there with me before surgery, and I guess after, but I really don't remember much. So many of the nurses on the floor have had this surgery, and tehy are so supportive, you won't be alone. The nursing staff at Geary County are great. Being alone in the hospital is a downfall of traveling a distance for this surgery, but you have chosen a great place to have it done. Take a long distance phone card with you so you can pick up the phone and chat with friends when you are able. I will be in JC on the 10th, but you should be long home by then.
hugs
Joan
