Overweight Mother of 10
Hi, my name is Angie, I am a 37 year old mother of 10. I am at 340lbs now and have been wanting this surgery for years. I had orignally tried to get it when i had BC/BS, and was denied. Now I have Preferred Health Care Kansas Building Trades. And am hoping they dont give me the same run around. I have to take heart meds now because my heart beats to fast and to hard (due to my weight) which in turn causes PVC's. I get what feels like charlie horse cramps in my abdobmen due to the excess weight and i want to see my children grow up. I am setting out on this venture and I WILL succeed this time. I am not giving up. I just called the Dr.s office of Dr. Bernstein and we shall see what happens from there. I hope to be able to come back often and meet new friends. Something I really need right now. And if anyone has any advice on anything i would need to do even before seeing the dr. please let me know. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Best of luck to you in your quest. I know that the whole insurance thing is a big pain. One of the reasons that I changed jobs a year ago was because the insurance at my old job did not allow WLS. I am now 9 wks post op and feel very lucky to have been able to make this positive change in my life. Keep up the battle and once again Good Luck!!
Pam
