Nervous in KS

Hi I need someone to talk to. I know that my surgery is not until May but I getting a little nervous about the surgery. I have had other surgeries and all went well maybe I'm a little paranoid of not waking up. Brenda Falls

Hey Brenda Everyone feels that way. The closer to your surgery, and the more you resign to the fact you are doing the right thing, the more at peace you will be. I really had to work this through in my mind. I finally came to the conclusion that I had a great life, and was lucky in so many ways. I knew if I died, I would be with my parents and grandparents and people who have loved me all their lives. I was no longer afraid of the surgery or of dying. This was my first surgery, so I was doublly nervous. Put your faith in your surgeon, and in your higher power. What is meant to be will happen. You will be fine. E-mail me if you need a shoulder. Joan
