How's Bruce?

I wondered if anyone knows how Bruce got along? Today was his surgery day, I believe. He had lap right? not RNY? He's waited sooooo long for this....he was at MY first meeting 18 months ago....and was waiting and hoping then. I can only imagine how excited he must be. Jenni -126

Bruce called me tonight and let me know that he was home. He had the lap band done, and was up walking last night. Claims he will be at the next support meeting in Topeka on the 8th of Jan. 2005. Told him to be good and to listen to Kathy. He says he is going to behave right now because he is bruised and sore. But he sounded like he was in high spirits. I have his phone number if you want it. Hi Jenni, Just read your post. I appreciate the prayers and support. I am doing GREAT!!! I had my lap-band on the 13th. Surgery at 5, recovery at 7, my room at 8, walking at 9! Steward said everything went great! He had the biggest smile when he told Kathy. I go see him post-op on Tuesday. I was somewhat nauseated and achy for a couple of days. But feel a lot better now that I'm on mushy foods. I looked at your pics and you are looking great! Keep up the good work! I plan being at the Jan meeting weather permitting. Hope to see you there. Hey Bruce, First of all, congrats on that great loss you've had pre and post surgery!! That is wonderful! I'm so glad you got through surgery well. I know how long you've waited for this! I would love to be at the Jan. meeting and had thought I would be but then looking at the calendar, I think that will be my grandson's b-day party in Wichita as his b-day is the 9th but they usually have his party on a Sat........so I may miss yet another meeting...sure hope to get to one again soon.
