Psychological tests???

Hi I live in Kansas, but am going to have my surgery in OK. I am having all my tests done here, and I'm supposed to have a psychological consult done. I am suppose to find someone that will do this. Who do you all go to? I live close to Wichita.... Do I just call a psychologist and say I'm having wls consult me? Please advise. Thanks Deb

Hi Deb, I live at Fort Riley but Yes you do call a Psychological consultant. You tell them you are having Gastric Bypass Surgery and need an evaluation. Hope I helped some. It was easy for me sence I already had been seeing someone. JILL 3 weeks post op. GOOD LUCK.

Your surgeon should have list to chose a pyschologist from. I'm seeing someone here in Topeka, Dr Abbott, at New Beginnings. She's very through with her evaluation. I've been seeing her since July and plan on seeing her even after my surgery. Becca Holton, KS
