Visiting Wichita

Hi all, I grew up in Wichita, but now live in Cincinnati. I'm going home for a wedding this weekend and realize I won't be able to eat at my fav places anymore (Walt's, TacoTico, Dog and Shake...) I was wondering if there's any good places for soup and salad in town besides the chain restaurants. I'll be staying on the West side, but any ideas would be great! Hi Julie I don't live in Wichita but in Salina. I do travel to Wichita a lot. I love the steakhouses. There is one I think called the Black Canyon Restaurant downtown by the old railroad station. I also love Jason's Deli. They make meat and cheese trays that are to die for. You don't even have to eat any bread. Anyway, just live a little. Enjoy your stay. Eat wherever you want.
