Dr in the Junction City area

My sister wants to have the gastric bypass. She wants to have it done in Junction City . Dose anyone have a DR. there? How good is this DR.? How much does the physc. evaluation cost? Her insurence won't pay until she gets the sergeons referal. Thank you all. I had my surgery in Topeka Dr. Steward , I have lost 77 pounds and am 6 months out. Sarah T

I had an open RNY on 8/13/04 in Junction City with my surgeon being Dr. Stevens. He is with the Liv-Lite program. He is a great surgeon and a very understanding Dr. I had to get my own physc eval. My insurance paid a portion and I only had to be a portion. Think it was for $300 in Wichita. Hope that help.s Jodi V Open RNY 8/13/04

Dr's Bollman and Stevens are REALLY great...VERY caring and considerate. They BOTH do every surgery and are at the monthly meetings. Dr Coleman is the Psych that runs the support group meetings and his price for the evaluation and MMPI is only $250. Very nice man!!! I would send my Mother to these men for ANYTHING!!!! I had my surgery Aug. 25th through the liv lite program in Junction City. Both doctors are really good. A lot of the nurses at the hospital have had the surgery, so that's cool...the are at different levels. I did my psych evaluation at ponca city about 1 1/2 hours from Wichita, It was $200.00. Hi Sarah, both drs in J.C. are excellent! They both do all surgeries. One assists the other. Dr. Bollman was my surgeon, and he is wonderful! She cant go wrong if she decides to do this in J.C. I had my surgery on 4-1-04, and have lost 90 lbs. I know of one nurse working at this hosp. who has had the surgery, and she will stop in and visit with your sister. The care I received at the hosp. was outstanding. I couldnt have asked for more empathetic people. Dr. Coleman, the psych., is a very nice man, and the cost was $250, if I remember correctly. All in all, your sister will be in very good hands in Junction City. I hope she goes for it! Suzanne

I HAVE HEARD NIGHT MARES ABOUT PEOPLE SAVING GAS AND MILES TO GO TO OTHER COUNSLORS AND NOT ALL COUNSLORS ARE REALLY FAMILAR WITH THE PROCEEDUR AND SO HAVE THEIR OWN OPIONS THAT REALLY CAN HURT YOUR SITTERS EVAL.
