Welcome to the losing side!!! I just read your post and wanted to tell you it does get better.....in the beginning after surgery I must admit it is very hard..I mean really hard..I would not want to go back to those days...but you must remember you will be very rewarded in the end...just stay focused and know that its not impossible to overcome...it takes time and strength. I thought I had made the biggest mistake of my life....but now that I am 8 mths. out and down 125 pounds I can say with a great big smile.....anything I experienced was very well worth it. Good Luck and soon you will be looking back to those early days after surgery saying, "it was all worth it". Feel free to ask me any questions you have, I come to this site daily..... Michelle, Thanks so much for your answer sometimes it feels like no one is ever here. I am suffering so much right now with not being able to drink anything more than one teaspoon at a time. I just want to get to the full liquid stage then I think I can live LOL,, but every hour I get by is one more closer to that goal. I am glad to know that I am not the only who had trouble that first week. Thanks again B

Yes Honey it is rough for the first week or even two but then things smooth out and you start feeling good about what you have done.. Take one day at a time and be sure to get in tha****er.. it is so necessary... forgot to do that myself and had a rough time due to dehydration.. so sip sip sip.. Wishing you happiness and thinking about you... will be going off the internet for a couple of months but will try to check e-mail from Library... take care now and best wishes to you. You are on the journey to a NEW life.. yahoo.. Hugs, Fran

Bekha - Drink water!!!!!!! Lots and lots of water!!!! Don't worry about your protein right this minute; your body has a store of it and you can "live off your own fat" for a few more days (or months!) but keep hydrated. Can you tolerate Crystal Light? I would totally recommend that to flavor your water and to make it go down easier. Trust me girl it gets better and better everyday!
