Food Ideas?
I was reading over some things and then went looking on line,, and was reading about home made babyfood,,, and was thinking after my surgery when I am able to start pureed foods that making my own "baby food" and adding the powered milk would give it the extra protien that I need and I can make it with fresh more healthy fruits and veggies? does that sound like it would work??
Any feed back would be great

I'm not too sure about adding the milk to non-milk based foods...I'm not sure how that would taste or hold up...I did add it to anything that I would put milk in anyway...that worked great for me. We really weren't put on a seriously "pureed" stage. I hope you can get some answers...have you contacted any other patients from your surgeon??? They might have some tried and true recipes for smoothies and things of that nature for you!!!
Best of luck and BIG HUGS

Are you going to Dr. Bolleman in Junction City? I just met with the dietician and was told that food doesn't really need to be "pureed", just made to be soft and mushy, making sure that it is moist. She gave me loads of ideas for this stage. She seemed to be open for calls, I am sure you can call her.
Joan,,
No I can't go to the in Junction becuase the hospital doesn't accept tri care. But I think I know the dieticain, my father in law saw one at Geary county hospital for his deibetes. She's great,, darn I can't remember her name. Anyway if you could answer me with her name maybe I can try to call her.
